12 Hours of Bathurst Post-Race Reflection: Resilience and Growth

Another endurance race is in the books, and this one felt like a battle from start to finish. Our Mustang team wrapped up the 12 Hours of Bathurst with a solid P5 finish, but it was far from a smooth journey.

Early on, things were looking good. We were holding strong, maintaining position, and sticking to the game plan. But then, out of nowhere, disaster struck. A wreck, completely out of our control, sent us tumbling down the order, losing multiple positions in the chaos. It was the kind of moment that can break your spirit—especially in a grueling race like this.

But if there’s one thing this team has shown, it’s resilience. We didn’t let the setback define our race. Instead, we regrouped, adjusted our strategy, and doubled down on teamwork. Slowly but surely, we clawed our way back up the leaderboard, one position at a time. It wasn’t easy, and it definitely wasn’t quick, but after hours of clean driving, well-timed pit stops, and relentless focus, we fought our way back to P5.

Meanwhile, our McLaren team had an even tougher start. On lap one, they got swept up in an unavoidable incident, going from the excitement of race day to dead last in P38. It was a brutal blow so early in the race. But, just like the Mustang team, they refused to back down. The next 12 hours were a testament to their determination and grit. They clawed their way back slowly, gaining an incredible 28 positions to finish in P10. It’s hard to describe just how impressive that kind of recovery is, but it speaks volumes about the heart and commitment of this team.

It’s a proud result, but it also leaves me asking questions. How long until we finally secure our first endurance podium? We’ve been knocking on the door, inching closer with every race. It’s crazy to think that just a short time ago, in our first-ever endurance race, we finished P12. The climb since then has been remarkable, but now, it feels like we’re chasing something bigger—something that’s almost within reach.

So, what’s next for Fear Nothing Moto? How do we keep this momentum going? Endurance racing isn’t just about speed; it’s about strategy, teamwork, and making fewer mistakes than your rivals over hours of intense pressure. We’re learning, growing, and refining with every race.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s been with us on this journey—our partners, community, and drivers. This P5 and P10 are just stepping stones, and we know the podium is coming. It’s just a matter of time.
